Model Upload Instructions
IF YOU ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS DURING MODEL UPLOAD, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:

1、Currently, Director only supports .fbx and .glb file types (ie FBX and GLTF models). If your model meets these standards, please refer to the model specifications for production suggestions.

2、For other model types, please perform processing optimization and format conversion in order to use the content.

3、If you have trouble with the model conversion, please contact us at module@datamesh.com for further assistance.

Model Specifications

1、The current product only supports FBX and GLTF models.

2、If the model contains additional surface texture/skin, insert them into the model file.

3、If the model is to be used primarily on MR equipment (such as HoloLens), please reduce the number of model triangles and materials to fit the specific standards outlined in the table below.

Autonomous Processing Model
If your model belongs to any of the categories below, please follow the applicable instructions:

CG Model

Common FBX, MAX, MAYA, and other CG software models:

1、If the model meets the triangle face and material number requirements, it can be uploaded to DCS for use.

2、If the number of faces or materials exceeds the recommended range, use the surface reduction function on the model reduction software and export to FBX file type, which can then be used in Director.

3、If the automatic surface reduction cannot complete model processing, it will need to be manually optimized.

CAD Model

Common CAD models in carious industrial applications:

1、Model must be converted to FBX file type using professional production tools

2、If the number of faces is still too high after file conversion, use a third-party tool to optimize face reduction.

3、The following table provides some more information about third-party model conversion/optimization:

If you require our model processing services, send a processing request to the service mailbox at module@datamesh.com.

If your model requires just a simple conversion, we will provide this service for free and send the converted model via email.

If your model can be processed with general tools:

•Paying customers will receive three free model processing services. Converted models will be sent via email.
•The top 10 free trial customers will receive 3 free model processing services per month.

If the model requires extensive remodeling/reprocessing, further steps can be discussed after model samples are tested.
